Countertops

Natural stone and engineered surfaces for every lifestyle

Countertop Materials

From engineered stone to natural surfaces, find the perfect countertop for your lifestyle
Quartz countertop
Quartz

Quartz is a man-made engineered stone countertop. It's extremely hard and durable, as well as non-porous, stain and crack resistant. It has a glossy sheen without the requirement of sealing or resealing. It's easy to clean with mild soap, water, and a soft cloth. Note that it is not heat tolerant. These countertops work well for any lifestyle.

Dekton countertop
Dekton

Dekton is a man-made ultra-compact surface made from combining quartz, porcelain and glass under high pressure and heat. Dekton countertops are extremely durable, scratch resistant, stain resistant, heat resistant, and crack resistant. The pattern is surface level, and edges show the solid color of the material. Edge details are limited, and it is thinner than quartz or natural stone. Very easy to clean and care for with no sealing required. Available in glossy or matte finish.

Quartzite countertop
Quartzite

Quartzite is a natural stone that is more scratch resistant and durable than granite or marble. It often has beautiful veining similar to marble, with more variety of colors available. Quartzite is relatively etch and stain resistant — just be prompt about cleaning up spills due to the porosity of natural stone. It needs to be sealed at install and resealed after years of use. A very good natural stone option for any kitchen application.

Marble countertop
Marble

Marble is a natural stone that is very porous and soft compared to other natural stones. You must be prompt to clean up spills as the sealer only buys you some time before liquid can penetrate. Marble is not scratch resistant and will etch, so it is not citrus friendly — avoid acidic spills or harsh cleaners. Marble is very heat resistant. This is a good choice for those with a calmer lifestyle, and popular with bakers due to its heat-resisting properties.

Soapstone countertop
Soapstone

Soapstone is a natural stone that is very dense, surpassing both marble and granite. It is especially resistant to staining and discoloration over time. It doesn't require a chemical sealant, is heat resistant, and citrus friendly. It is prone to scratching but easily repairable with a light sand and oil. Soapstone needs regular oiling but frequency decreases over time, and the stone will develop a beautiful dark natural patina throughout the years.

Granite countertop
Granite

Granite is a natural stone that is stain resistant, heat resistant, durable and high density similar to quartzite. It requires sealant at installation and after years of use. Granite is prone to etching so be wary of citrus or harsh chemicals. Granite works well for most lifestyles.
